Swim Safer Stage 2
SwimSafer Stage 2 is the second stage of the SwimSafer program and is designed for participants who have successfully completed Stage 1 or have equivalent swimming proficiency. This stage builds upon the fundamental skills and knowledge acquired in Stage 1 and aims to further develop swimming proficiency and water safety skills.
During SwimSafer Stage 2, participants will learn intermediate swimming strokes such as the backstroke and sidestroke, as well as survival skills such as treading water for an extended period of time. They will also learn to perform more complex water skills such as diving and performing a forward roll entry into the water. In addition, participants will learn about water safety rules and practices, as well as how to perform rescue techniques such as reaching and throwing assists. The program places a strong emphasis on developing safe and responsible swimming behavior and promotes the importance of being aware of potential hazards in and around the water. Upon successful completion of SwimSafer Stage 2, participants will receive a certificate indicating their level of swimming proficiency and water safety knowledge. Overall, SwimSafer Stage 2 is an excellent continuation of the program for participants who have already developed a foundation in swimming and wish to further enhance their skills and knowledge to become more proficient swimmers and promote safer swimming practices.
