Serving Tiong Bahru, Redhill and Bukit Merah
Swimming Lessons at Delta Swimming Complex
One of Singapore's original HDB sport complexes, opened in 1979 and reborn in 2023 after a full renovation that went on to win Design of the Year at the President's Design Award. Sitting between Redhill and Tiong Bahru MRT stations, it's a genuine neighbourhood landmark with a sheltered teaching pool. Lessons here are conducted by freelance and affiliate coaches within the SG Sink or Swim network, operating independently of our directly-run locations.
Coaches We Know, Not Staff We Employ
Coaches teaching at Delta are part of our wider freelance and affiliate network — experienced instructors we've connected with, rather than SG Sink or Swim employees. They run their own lessons independently, with their own scheduling and pricing.
An Award-Winning, Central Pool
Freshly renovated and genuinely well located between Redhill and Tiong Bahru, this is a practical option for families across Tiong Bahru, Redhill and Bukit Merah.

About Delta Swimming Complex
Delta Sport Centre opened on 7 November 1979 as one of the very first HDB sport complexes in Singapore, built to serve residents across Bukit Ho Swee, Henderson, Redhill and Alexandra. It housed the first indoor stadium ever built by the Housing and Development Board — and before any of that, the site was home to the 120-year-old Tang Suahn Kiong Temple, which stood there from 1858 until 1978.
In September 2019 the complex closed for a full renovation, reopening on 30 April 2023. The redesign by Red Bean Architects went on to win Design of the Year at the 2025 President's Design Award — genuinely rare recognition for a neighbourhood public pool. The renovation added four futsal courts, a new ActiveSG gym, and a colourful free-to-use water play area for children.
The complex has three pools: a 50-metre, 8-lane outdoor competition pool with electronic timing, a 30-metre sheltered teaching pool with a wheelchair accessibility ramp, and a wading pool with a bright chevron tile design. It's open daily from 8am to 9.30pm except Wednesdays, with the competition pool opening early on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings from 6.30am for lap swimmers.
Please Note:
Lessons at Delta Swimming Complex are conducted by freelance and affiliate coaches within the SG Sink or Swim network, not by SG Sink or Swim directly. Scheduling, pricing, and how each coach runs their lessons is set independently — we're happy to help connect you with a coach here, but please confirm the details directly with them before booking.
