Serving Bedok, Bedok North & Kaki Bukit

Swimming Lessons at Heartbeat @ Bedok Swimming Complex

A fully indoor swimming complex on Level 5 of Singapore's second integrated community hub — no outdoor pools here at all. Heartbeat @ Bedok replaced the original Bedok Swimming Complex, once one of the busiest public pools in the country and a national training venue. Lessons here are conducted by freelance and affiliate coaches within the SG Sink or Swim network, operating independently of our directly-run locations.

Coaches We Know, Not Staff We Employ

Coaches teaching at Heartbeat @ Bedok are part of our wider freelance and affiliate network — experienced instructors we've connected with, rather than SG Sink or Swim employees. They run their own lessons independently, with their own scheduling and pricing.

Part of a Genuine Community Hub

With a library, polyclinic and 30-plus shops and eateries in the same building, it's a practical, well-connected pool for families across Bedok, Bedok North and Kaki Bukit.

The Venue

About Heartbeat @ Bedok Swimming Complex

The original Bedok Swimming Complex opened in late 1981, drawing around 2,500 visitors a day at its peak — one of the busiest public pools in Singapore, and in the late 1980s one of just four complexes used for national training in swimming, diving and water polo. The old complex was demolished in July 2017 to make way for something new.

Heartbeat @ Bedok opened on 1 August 2017, with the wider hub officially opened in February 2018. It's Singapore's second integrated community hub after Our Tampines Hub — seven storeys tall, combining a public library, polyclinic, community club, senior care centre and more than 30 shops and eateries all under one roof.

The swimming complex sits on Level 5 and is genuinely and entirely indoor — a FINA-standard 50-metre, 8-lane sheltered competition pool, an 8-lane training pool, a learner pool, and an interactive kids' pool with a jacuzzi. ActiveSG classifies it as a Feature Pool, with entry fees slightly higher than a standard complex. The complex is open daily from 8am to 9.30pm except Thursdays, with the competition pool opening early on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 6.30am for lap swimmers.

Please Note:

Lessons at Heartbeat @ Bedok Swimming Complex are conducted by freelance and affiliate coaches within the SG Sink or Swim network, not by SG Sink or Swim directly. Scheduling, pricing, and how each coach runs their lessons is set independently — we're happy to help connect you with a coach here, but please confirm the details directly with them before booking.

Why This Pool Works for the Neighbourhood

What makes this specific complex a solid option for families nearby.

A Genuinely Indoor Setting

Unlike most complexes with only a sheltered teaching pool, all four pools at Heartbeat @ Bedok sit on Level 5 of the building, fully enclosed — a distinctive setup for lessons here.

Part of a Genuine Community Hub

With a library, polyclinic and 30-plus shops and eateries all in the same development, it's easy to combine a lesson with an errand, a meal, or family time.

SwimSafer-Aligned Coaching

Coaches teaching here generally structure lessons around the national SwimSafer syllabus — confirm the specific approach with whoever you're matched with.

A Fun Reward Built In

After a lesson, families often head to the interactive kids' pool with its jacuzzi and splash features — a genuine treat that makes swim day something to look forward to.
