The Complete Directory
Public Swimming Pools in Singapore
Singapore's 25 ActiveSG swimming complexes are where the vast majority of swimming lessons — SwimSafer and otherwise — actually happen, and where nearly every resident has one within a short ride from home. This pillar page gives a brief overview of every complex, grouped by region, plus what's standard across them and how to plan a visit.
One Network, Every Region
All 24 complexes are run by ActiveSG under Sport Singapore, so the experience is consistent islandwide — a competition pool, a teaching pool, trained lifeguards, and the same low entry price wherever you go. The main difference from one complex to the next is what else it offers on top: a wave pool, a lazy river, sheltered lanes, or simply a quieter neighbourhood pool.
We Teach at 4 of These Pools
Our lessons run at Bukit Batok, Choa Chu Kang, Clementi and Senja-Cashew (Bukit Panjang) Swimming Complexes — all marked below. If your nearest complex isn't one of ours, this directory still doubles as a general reference for planning lessons or lap swims anywhere on the island.
The Standard
What Every Complex Offers
Nearly every ActiveSG complex follows the same basic layout, so you generally know what to expect wherever you go.
Competition Pool
A 50-metre, typically 8-lane pool with depths from around 1.2m to 1.8m — used for lap swimming, squad training, and higher SwimSafer stages.
Teaching Pool
A shallower pool, roughly 0.9m deep, where most swimming lessons actually take place — shallow enough for adults to stand comfortably while teaching.
Wading Pool
An even shallower pool, around 0.4m deep, for toddlers and young children to play safely — some newer complexes add slides or splash features here too.
Affordable, Consistent Pricing
Entry is inexpensive across the board — typically around $1.50 for an adult on weekdays — with lower rates for children and seniors, and a monthly MyActiveSWIM pass available for regular visitors.

An ActiveSG account, set up via the app or at any complex counter
-
Small change or a card for entry if you're not on the MyActiveSWIM monthly pass
-
Goggles, if you'd like them — not compulsory, but useful for laps
Good to Know
-
Most complexes close one day a week for maintenance — check the specific complex before heading over
-
Walk-ins are generally fine for recreational swimming; no advance booking is required for casual visits
-
Early mornings (around 6.30–8am) tend to be quietest for lap swimming; weekend afternoons are the busiest
-
Foreigners typically pay a small surcharge over the standard resident rate
