We run kids' and adult classes here every week, from a first nervous float to full SwimSafer certification.

The Venue
About Clementi Swimming Complex
Clementi Swimming Complex opened on 15 August 1983, one of six HDB swimming complexes built across Singapore in the early 1980s to give residents in the west their own public pool. The design — a staggered layout under a mono-pitch roof canopy that catches tropical breezes across the deck — earned an Honourable Mention at the 1987 Singapore Institute of Architects Design Awards, and it still holds up well today.
The complex sits within Clementi Sport Centre at 520 Clementi Avenue 3, with three pools: a 50-metre, 8-lane competition pool, a shallower teaching pool where most lessons actually happen, and a wading pool for young children, alongside an outdoor cardio gym area. ActiveSG classifies it as a "Normal Pool" — no slides or wave pools, just a straightforward setup that's kept the teaching pool calm and genuinely useful for structured lessons for over 40 years.
Clementi Sport Centre has a track record beyond swimming too — it's the preferred venue for the Ministry of Education's basketball championships and has served as a training ground for the Singapore fencing team. The complex is open daily from 8am to 9.30pm except Mondays, when it closes for full-day maintenance, with the competition pool opening early on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings from 6.30am for lap swimmers.
